Good
Room and hotel was clean. WiFi was great. Staff were great and really helpful. Airport transfer. Hotel felt and was safe. AC in the room.
This did not feel like a 4* hotel to me. Very tired decor. Whilst clean, the rooms really could do with a refresh. Wallpaper stains and peeling etc. Location is in the centre of Kigali, but very busy and loud, especially at night. Restaurant food was nice, but restaurant was again a very tired looking space.

What was the highlight of 2000 Hotel Downtown Kigali
A welcomed return to Hotel 2000!
We returned to the hotel after having first stayed in 2017, we couldn’t believe how much it’s changed! We loved how spacious the room was, good air con, great shower, tea and coffee in the room (which is often hard to come by!), a gym and restaurant. We were able to pay extra for late check out which was great, as otherwise we’d have been hanging about in the heat for hours and hours! Overall, we would return again if in Kigali, as the room was very comfortable and we slept well!
Check in and check out a little slow, airport transfer back to the airport was late, and our omelette at breakfast took over an hour to arrive… breakfast overall was a bit of a shambles, but I think that might have been due to it being Umuganda, and the staff were all running around trying to keep things moving as best they could! The hotel is in a noisy area with it being in downtown (so is to be expected), but earplugs did the trick.

Keza at the reception was very helpful and friendly. The rest of the staff was very professional too.
It seems that some customers smoked in the elevator.
